Our world is extremely fast-paced. This is also strongly noticeable in the fashion industry. With LANUE ET LENU, we are counteracting this trend. We create clothes that everyone feels good in all day long - not only because they look amazing and are super comfortable, but also because they are produced sustainably and fairly.
We are Dominique and Monica and we founded our label LANUE ET LENU in 2020. As long-time friends, we have now also become business partners. We have the mindset to create something that makes us and the people around us happy. In doing so, we are considerate of our environment and its resources.
Production
After we design our products in Switzerland, they are then produced in a textile factory in Germany under fair conditions. Ten women's hands with a lot of knowledge manufacture our pieces there. The manufactory exists since 1977 and was taken over by the new owner in 2020. She set herself the goal to maintain the already long existing textile production and to secure the jobs of the female employees in the long term.
We work very closely with our production and visit them regularly. A very experienced pattern technician makes the patterns for our production in advance in Berlin. Together we discuss and revise each model until it is ready for production.
Sustainability
We have set ourselves the goal of designing long-lasting products. For us, longevity means that a product is timeless and not created because of a trend. That's why we work with classic designs and high-quality materials that don't go out of fashion after one season. For us, not only the manufacturing of a product should be sustainable and fair, but the company processes in all areas. For this reason, we are committed to fair working conditions and an environmentally friendly use of all resources. A Swiss printing company committed to sustainability prints all of our print media completely free of harmful substances. All of our packaging material is made from recycled cardboard. Likewise, LANUE ET LENU has been created thanks to the support of many great, dedicated and incredibly talented people, for whose collaboration we are extremely grateful. As a young label, we naturally want to continuously improve our sustainability performance and regularly analyze our company in this regard. Materials & Care
We source sustainable fabrics that are produced in Europe. Cotton always comes from organic production. When natural materials are not possible for technical reasons, such as swimwear, we use a synthetic fiber made from recycled textile industry waste, discarded fishing nets and old carpets. Each fabric and accessory we choose ourselves and know its origin and composition.
